ABOUT US

See below for a very motivating and touching story from Kirker Hospital in Niger. MX did the shipping for 2 MedShare containers there as well as several containers of pharmaceuticals from MAP International in Brunswick, Georgia.

This little boy, we will call "Little Issa" (Issa is his real name). He came to me some time back with a serious upper eyelid tumor, distorting his vision by deforming his cornea and would have been blind in that eye in a few more months, had his parents not brought him in to see me. As you also can see he was rather undernourished at the start, but again, as you can see, we took care of this. I saw him in the office and administered a MAP supplied, mild, overall sedative and a local MAP supplied eyeball anesthetic. After a couple of minutes I used MEDSHARE supplied sterile drapes, gloves and surgical eye instruments (without these specialized eye only instruments that Medshare supplied, the surgery could not have been done with the hospital's then abdominal only surgical instruments) Eye instruments are delicate as you can imagine and general surgical instruments are much larger and bulkier and dangerous to try and use in a delicate eye operation. (I used to do all sorts of eye operations, but have mostly quit it all now) After the operation, he was given MAP supplied eye and general antibiotics and pain relievers and hospitalized with a Medshare supplied bandage eye patch on him. (The tape was local) His recovery was uneventful and we followed his eye progress and filled him full of nutritious foods to combat his under nutrition. He then made a nice recover from both his eye problem and under nutrition. He went home with good vision in both eyes and a much healthier and well nourished baby boy.

Dear Josh

This is to thank you and acknowledge receipt of the consignment commercial documents in regard to the donation from Project C.U.R.E of medical equipment and supplies. By copy of this communication we would like to thank all of you for the efforts that have enabled us to receive this third 40ft container of medical supplies and equipment. Many lives will be reached and saved through your support. We look forward to continued support since we reach some of the most poor communities in Uganda.

Asante sana (Thank you very much).

Loretta,

Greetings,

I would just like to pass on my THANKS and appreciation to one of your employees…Melissa Holmes. My church put together a container that is currently being shipped to Zambia , Africa . We as a church, and I as an individual, had never done this before. I need to tell you how patient, understanding, and professional Melissa was as she literally walked me through this process step-by-step.

I hit her with a wide variety of questions and she always responded quickly and clearly. I was never in the dark.

She is an asset to the company and I wanted to make sure I passed that on.

THANK YOU Melissa!

Melissa,

Thank you so very much for your help. It is so exciting to think things are really on their way. I must admit, the paperwork was a real challenge for me! I didn't realize how time consuming it would be, and I was so exhausted from all the actual physical work of getting things ready to load that I sort of staggered through the last stage!

It was also a bit of a problem with people thinking it was ok to bring things on the day of packing, despite being told that was not the way to do it! But they need things so desperately at Todee, that we didn't want to miss sending anything that was available. And overseas shpments are in a category of their own. We were in the Foreign Service for years, so I have familiarity with the packing end of things, but other than the numbering of the boxes and the importance of the inventory, I was a novice.

We are excited at the variety and amount of things we were able to send, and most thankful for all the support we received from so many people. Your organization has been fantastic, and we are very grateful. The Lord continues to smile on the Todee Mission School!

Most sincerely,

Mary van Son

Dear Friends,

It is late evening in Mingeli and I am back at home after a long day. We just finished a special session with the staff where we blew up a lot of crackers and I can still hear many more which will continue till late in the night.

This morning, we were greeted with the second trcuk landing up.

Immediately after morning prayers everybody got together and we had the truck unloaded.

Everything arrived safe and all the furniture is fine. One set of shelves did have trouble and that can be fixed. The OR light glass was broken but that too is being worked at immediately.

The lights have been checked and in a day or two we will be having them up in OR I. The bassinetes are great and I look foward to a 8 bed nursery. They are exactly what we wanted and I could not buy them here even if I wanted to.

I would like to thank many who made this shipment possible and I know that there has been so much trouble along the way for which I am sorry, but I would like to say a deep thank you to all of you. Those days at the port with Constance ringing me up to ask for help from Digna and Joe, let alone the way in which we were donated these supplies all say one thing. It is God's will that these things are here and it is no our responsibility to use these gifts for His Glory here in Mungeli.

So see the enjoyment and gratitude in which these gifts were recieved, I would like to attach these pictures on this email.

Blessings and do keep in touch.

Hi John,

I see that the shipment arrived earlier today. Thanks very much John and Missionary Expediters.for pressing and making this happen.

With 4000 already dead in Zimbabwe from the cholera epidemic, and the delays at origin, a quick transit time was imperative. This undoubtedly is a lifesaving shipment. This shipment seems to have a special blessing on it!

Dear friends,

Don't worry the volcano in the background is not active its the ones to the South East and South West we need to worry about.

We're very proud to see the commitment, hard work and compassion our workers display to help children with disabilities. Most of them grew up with either spina bifida or polio themselves so they know first hand what children are facing living with a disability in Central America. Within a few weeks we'll be setting-up 4 of these ladies with industrial sewing machines in their homes. 3 of them are single mothers that need to care for their children. One is not a mother but lives in a town that is not very wheelchair accessible. So it works best for her not to have to commute. However, she will be attending the annual Hope Haven camp in Chimaltenango next week. This is the highlight of the year for the adults, youth and children that participate in the 3 different camps Hope Haven sponsors every November.

Mil gracias for your support!

I just want to say "Thank you!!" so much for your help in getting my shipment to Thailand. You know, Mike, you were very patient with this old gal, and I do so appreciate it.

Thank you, Melissa, for helping me locate the shipment in Thailand. The receiving agent wanted MORE money to receive and ship it upcountry than what you charged me to pick it up and send it. Even with the strike at the dock, I was able to get everything in good order.

What a blessing you are to the Christian community and those they serve.

Incidentally, the timing was perfect. I had no intention of buying a home, but felt the need to ship some stored things to Thailand. When I returned to Thailand, God made a way for me to get my own home. So many of the things in the shipment will have a permanent place as I plan on living here until I meet Jesus face to face.

Dear Melissa and Denise,

We have received our container and have unloaded all of or belongings. Obviously, it will take long time for us to unpack every box. But so far we dont have any damage and I doubt we will. Our experience working with you guys has been over our expectations. Maybe because we had bad experience hiring company to do this job before we thought about you. I expect this to be your standard!........Thanks for you awesome service! If we know of any missionaries going anywhere, we will let them know about Missionary Expediters. I am so glad that we thought about asking our organization Global Outrach, who they hire to send their containers.

Ms. Holmes,

I thought that you would like to know that all forty-nine boxes of our shipment arrived last Friday. None of our possessions suffered any damage along the way. I am especially pleased to have access again to my books. They are the tools of my work as a professor. Even so, I plan to donate them to the library here rather than send them back someday to the United States. To modify a familiar saying about Las Vegas, what goes to Taiwan stays in Taiwan. I wanted to write and thank you for all you did to help me get my goods to Cape Town, South Africa. We unloaded the container yesterday, less than two weeks after I arrived here. Everything was intact, and insofar as I can tell undamaged.

Thanks for every courtesy afforded me as we corresponded and arranged for shipment. The original documents were handed to us as we were on the phone arranging for customs clearance. God's timing is perfect.

It has already been my privilege to recommend Missionary Expediters to another missionary, and I will continue to do so.

Thanks again for your patience, help, clarifications, efficiency, professionalism, etc.

Dear Henry,

Just a quick note to thank you for the excellent work you did in getting our stuff shipped to Calcutta. The container reached the port here in the second week of Feb. The only problem was that the shipping yard was full of literally tens of thousands of containers that looked just like ours; and the port personnel put them down randomly. So it was "lost" and it took our agent's workers a week of walking through the yard to find it. But this was no fault of yours; it's just a Calcutta thing. By the third week of Feb it was delivered and unpacked at our house.

Thanks again for the help,
Jonathan Rice

Outreach in Jerusalem, May 2008 — Large tent shipment in 2 x 40 ft sea containers for Neil Blake, One in Christ Ministries

Dear Friends,

From the very beginning this container traveled with a black cloud overhead. Nothing seemed to go right with this. I remember Joe frantically trying to catch up with the container full of trash as it headed towards the west coast and the trucking company working to get the boarding of the vessel canceled. I remember the conversations withVernon trying to find out what he sent where and why he was sending trash to Jordan. I remember the terror when I called MCS and found out that my container was gone out in the middle of the ocean. Was really happy when Maia told me it got turned around and then my thoughts went to the monster bill we would have for a truck load of trash. My heart sank when Henry told me I would need to clear customs and get a broker in Houston and then there was the D word demurrage. How calming Jack was when he received my frantic call yesterday. And then bright sunshiny day came the words from Maia, we got the ocean freight waived. Wow what a wonderful sentence. Ran to tell Luke and we were just elated. The list of companies that have helped us that significantly is small and MX is right on top of that list. We were sitting trying to figure how we were going to resolve this and whether we could afford to alienate the publisher by demanding they pick up the cost for the mistake when your call came.
There may have been others in the back ground that were helping this along but no matter if it was one of you or all of you, we just knew we could count on your help. We are so appreciative of that. Not only for this evil little shipment but for all that you do for all of us here to make things go smoothly on all our shipments. This kind of service is what sets you apart.
Again thanks to all that were involved with resolving this issue and everyone there that is always ready to lend a hand no matter what our problem may be and who may have caused it.
Bless you all

Dear Debbie and Loretta,

This is to inform you of a happy occasion. The 40' cargo container that we deposited in CSX rail head at Kansas City, MO on April 10 or so, has finally cleared customs and been released to us in Ouagadougou, the capital city of Burkina Faso, West Africa. (Just short of 90 days).

The final hurdle was the second signature on the release forms. The General Director of Customs was relieved of duty for corruption and the new person was slow to start processing paperwork. We understand that warrior angels guarded His goods along the way.

The cargo, that is, clothing, tools to teach mechanics and welding, textbooks, blankets, and of current importance, a months supply of food for the orphans, are gratefully received.

Thank you for all your professional help and personal patience during my learning period.

May many blessings overtake you.

“I am happy to send you just a few of the photo's that have been taken thus far. The NGO is quite happy with the wheelchairs and with the distribution process. They asked me to communicate with you that they have already given out 192 wheelchairs.

During their visit in the villages they have found handicap individuals who have never been able to be out of their house before. They found one man who was so excited about his new wheelchair that he insists on the youth of the village to push him into the center of town to that he can be with the other older men and talk together with them everyday. The youth are happy to do this for him. The village leader deeply and sincerely thanked everyone involved for these wonder gifts. He said that the handicap people of his village have never ever been given such a good quality gift and a gift that can continue helping them by helping them to get out of the house and move around.”

Lilu Negrut, a good Romanian brother living in Troy, Michigan recently donated his very nice 1993 Volvo tractor truck to a Romanian missionary serving in Germany, to monetize to fund a children’s camp in the Romanian countryside. Rather than shipping this truck to Germany to monetize, Missionary Expediters purchased the truck from him on Monday, September 24, 2007 to add to our small fleet. On behalf of him and Missionary Expediters, Thank you, Lilu!

Henry, I wanted to thank you for all your help in resolving the recent Hungary and Kenya shipments. You went above and beyond -- thank you.

Indeed, you customer service has been excellent and any time even in the near future, will recommend any body any time to ship with you.......I am more than willing to pay the minimum fee to be comfortable than paying less with any other carrier and the whole things turns out to be nightmare.

Debbie and Joe,
Here are just a few of our pictures from our most recent trip to Honduras.
Thanks for helping us make it such a good one!
My most recent trip to Honduras was truly wonderful. It is such an honor to serve the exceptional people in this beautiful country, and a privilege to be an instrument for God to do the remarkable and awe-inspiring work that God does. I am unceasingly amazed, at times overwhelmed, at all times reliant on God, and always grateful for the privilege to serve in Honduras. It was especially great to have our shipment there before we arrived and to deliver the medical supplies (much needed) to the hospital and clinics, and the clothes and shoes to the children. Thank you and Joe again so very much for all of your assistance.

I sincerely hope that we can raise the money to be able to send more shipments this year. And I hope that I will have the opportunity to work with you again.
Thank you so much.
I hope for you a very happy and peaceful and blessed 2007.

Sincerely,
Helen Kornblum, M.D.

Denise,
Great price!! Thank you for being such a godly example of a Christian in business! The excellence of your work and the servant heart you demonstrate have consistently been an encouragement to me to do likewise. And yes--this is all about His glory. That's all that really will last from our lives: what we do for Him. May many sons and daughters be in heaven because of our partnership in shipping!

Blessings,

Our 40' cube high container arrived Boquete successfully a week ago and we were very favorably impressed by the shippers. We used Missionary Expediters to ship from our front yard in Nashville, TN to Manzanillo (Colon). Allan PItti of IN AND OUT transported the container from there to a warehouse he knows in Panama City, where it went through customs smoothly and without incident. Allan hired a trucker and his helper to truck it to our front yard in Alto Boquete. The shipping experience with Missionary Expediters was exceptionally good with no problem whatsoever. The container was delivered to our front yard in Nashville, TN on a Friday morning and picked up on Monday afternoon. We loaded it ourselves with the help of a friend and a couple of strong young men we hired. Our container was delivered to us in Boquete an unbelievable 10 days later! The cost for Missionary Expediters was $3695.54, including $10,000 worth of insurance. The cost for Allan Pitti was $1150.00, including unloading at Alto Boquete. We tipped the driver and helper and 4 neighbors $20.00 each in addition to insure they would unload carefully and place each box in the proper room [Amended for space]

Thank you for doing this with such short notice. Renee’ and I really appreciate the services that ME provides.

Missionary Expediters has been with Operation Christmas Child since the project was only a handful of containers. Today they handle the majority of all of our containers. Jack was there to teach us about things like how to value donated cargo for foreign importation, the multiple layers of bills of lading that are created for a shipment, destination costs, and who pays what. He has hung with us when foreign importation didn't go as planned. And he has always been patient and generous with us. Today, we have one of the largest and most complex export programs of any humanitarian aid organization. We have a full staff dedicated to exporting our GIK and getting it imported properly overseas and we rely on Missionary Expediters more than ever. They are partners more than vendors. And they are a ministry as truly as any out there.
