H.E.L.P. 2007

Missionary Expediters was honored to host the 1st Annual H.E.L.P. forum in New Orleans, LA.
The H.E.L.P. forum is the brainchild of several members of the humanitarian aid shipping community. The purpose is to bring together all humanitarian aid shippers for the purposes of learning and growing in expertise by information and experience sharing. The ultimate goal is to reduce the unnecessary costs associated with delays and mistakes (millions of dollars annually), and increase the effectiveness of our various programs.

Partnering Ministries in attendance at the 2007 Forum: Samaritan's Purse, Operation Blessing, Food for the Hungry, Medical Teams International, MedPharm, International Aid, Campus Crusade for Christ's Global Aid Network, Free Wheel Chair Mission, Family Outreach Ministries International and Missionary Expediters.

The forum was a great success. It was organic and there was wide participation. Planned topics were:
  • Planning your Shipment
  • Relationships between the Shipper, Freight Forwarder, and the Consignee
  • Foreign Importation
  • Title II Food Aid booking process


A new Google Group was established to be a communication tool for all participants, in fact all members of the humanitarian aid shipping community, to share questions, ideas, information, etc.
