Sending cargo via Sea is the most common form of transport; however, it can take up to a few months, depending on the location and routing.
You have a few options:
LCL (Less than Container Load)
When you only have a few pallets, it doesn't always make sense to rent an entire container. Depending on the volume and destination, LCL is typically cheaper, but the cost of it is heavily dependent on the exact measurements of the cargo you ship.
Containerized
Containers come in various sizes. The most common are 20' and 40'. For more information on containers, please view our container spec sheet here [link]. When shipping via container, your cargo is better shielded from the outside world than with an LCL shipment. Also, you can fill a container with as much cargo as you want for the same rate. The exception here is your weight cannot exceed the legal road limit.
RORO (Roll On, Roll Off)
Simply having your vehicle driven onto the vessel and driven off at destination. It does not go in a container. This is often used for big machinery that
Bulk
When you have a great amount of cargo, usually raw commodities such as agriculture, there is the need to charter an entire vessel or pour the contents directly into the hull of the vessel. This is only an economical option when the cargo is very great quantities.
